Here is a tutorial on how to start playing. Once you get going you'll like to play.

First you will come to the main screen where you pick a race. As you can see some races provide cool benefits.

Now pick your race in the drop down box and click done.

You now come to the Base of your army operations.

Now as you can see you start off with:

Race......................................Hillgiant (it is the race I chose for this tutorial)
Fortification...........................Campyou upgrade this in the armory
Siege Technology.................None you purchase this in the armory
Unit Production....................0 per 12 hours(2 hours)This increases with your post count
Money Gain per 12 hours......0 Gold(2 hours)This increases with your post count
Available Money...................25000 GoldWhat you purchase comes from this. You obtain more gold through posting, and attacking or using the Faerun bookie etc
Attack Turns.........................4 This gets renewed with your post count

Now to buy upgrade your siege tech/fortification, buy armor and weapons click on Armory:

Easy right?

Now to get "units" (soldiers) Click on the "trainning" link in the base area:

It is smart that while you are there Upgrade Unit Production, you should train them if you have the posts and have waited the 12 hours to obtain new units.

You can purchase mercenaries to fight for you as you are waiting for the unit production:

Now this is where some may get confused. Follow the directions below to purchase mercenaries:

Now to attack. This is easy to do and you can decide who you want to attack.

Simply click on the "attack link in the Base Area. Then click on the person you want to attack.

Brings you to a small stats page of the person you are going to attack, just click on attack.

Here you will see a small box where you will add in the number of your turns you want to use in this attack. Cannot exceed 4. then press attack!

To attack again, click on the attack link.

Now if you win the fight you get gold. If you loose you also can not only loose gold but your weapons and armor can get damaged.
